CLASS PARTICULARS

The main task of the vessels will be hydrographic survey in the North Sea and and the area around the Netherlands Antillen, both for military and commercial use, such as: Rapid Environmental Assessment, Route Survey, Bathymetry.

 

They will replace the RNlN vessels Buyskes and Blommendal, in service since 1973. The vessels will also be operatinal for secondary tasks: Coast Guard, Disaster Relief, Search and Rescue, Fishery Inspection, Pollution Control, Training.
